| Lynn Gretkowski, MD
Having received her undergraduate and medical degrees at Princeton and UMDNJ and trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University, Dr. Gretkowski began her interest in wine almost two decades ago. As the food and wine manager at Tower Club, her eating club at Princeton, she organized events for classmates and alumni (when the legal drinking age was still 18). As Chef de Restaurant at villages in the Caribbean, she began dabbling in French wines when she worked and windsurfed at Club Med. She went on to receive her formal wine education through the Department of Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis, the Culinary Institute of America, Greystone in St. Helena, California and the Society of Wine Educators. Currently, Dr. Gretkowski practices obstetrics and gynecology in Mountainview, California and is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University. She is a Certified Specialist of Wine, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of WineDoctors, LLC and is sitting for accreditation as a Certified Wine Educator as well as certification in WSET. She is an editorial board member of Alcohol in Moderation and the International Scientific Forum on Alcohol Research. She is on the executive board of the Society of Medical Friends of Wine and incoming President. Her mantra is "it is better to know what wines you like rather than know the wines you are supposed to like."
